- Maintaining business records
- Protecting our legal rights
We consider the potential effect on customer privacy before relying on legitimate interests.
Consent
We may rely on consent for:
- Nonessential cookies
- Targeted advertising
- Certain analytics
- Email or SMS marketing
- Other processing where consent is required
Consent may be withdrawn through the applicable preference tool or by contacting us.
Legal obligations
We may process information to comply with tax, accounting, consumer-protection, safety, regulatory, law-enforcement, court, and other legal obligations.
5. Shopify
Our store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify collects and processes personal information when customers visit the Site, use Shopify-powered checkout, create or access certain customer accounts, use Shop or Shop Pay, or interact with other Shopify services.
Shopify may process information in countries other than the country where a customer lives.
You can learn more through the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy.
Customers who use Shop or Shop Pay may also have a separate relationship with Shopify. Requests sent to PES do not necessarily delete information that Shopify independently holds through Shop, Shop Pay, or other Shopify consumer services.
Shopify Network Intelligence
If Shopify Network Intelligence or related Shopify Enhanced Services are enabled for our store, Shopify may use customer information together with information from interactions with other Shopify merchants to provide services such as:
- Fraud prevention
- Store insights
- Performance improvements
- Personalization
- Advertising measurement
- Improved advertising relevance
Where required, customers may opt out through our Your Privacy Choices page, a recognized Global Privacy Control signal, the Shopify privacy portal, or other available privacy controls.
6. Payments
Payments are processed through Shopify and the payment providers made available during checkout.
Payment providers may collect:
- Name
- Billing address
- Payment-card number
- Card expiration information
- Security code
- Bank or wallet information
- Transaction and authentication information
- Fraud and risk information
These providers process payment information under their own privacy policies and security requirements.
PES generally receives confirmation of payment, transaction identifiers, payment status, limited payment-method details, and information necessary to administer the order.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies and similar technologies.
Necessary cookies
These are used to:
- Operate the storefront
- Maintain the shopping cart
- Process checkout
- Provide account access
- Save privacy preferences
- Prevent fraud
- Maintain security
Disabling necessary cookies may prevent portions of the Site from working properly.
Functional cookies
These may remember:
- Language
- Region
- Currency
- Account preferences
- Other shopping preferences
Analytics cookies
When enabled and permitted, analytics technologies help us understand:
- Site traffic
- Page and product performance
- Navigation patterns
- Checkout interactions
- Marketing effectiveness
- Technical errors
Advertising cookies
When enabled and permitted, advertising technologies may be used to:
- Measure advertisements
- Limit repetitive advertisements
- Create or use advertising audiences
- Understand whether an advertisement resulted in a visit or purchase
- Provide advertisements that may be more relevant
You can manage available preferences through our cookie banner and Your Privacy Choices page.
You can learn more about cookies that Shopify may use through Shopify’s Cookie Policy.
8. Analytics and Targeted Advertising
We may use analytics and advertising services when those services are enabled for our store.
These providers may collect device, browser, cookie, IP-address, approximate-location, browsing, interaction, and purchase-event information. They may combine that information with information collected through other websites or services according to their own privacy policies.
PES does not sell personal information for money.
However, disclosures of identifiers, device information, internet activity, or commercial information to advertising partners may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or processing for “targeted advertising” under certain privacy laws.
Where applicable, customers may opt out through:
- Our cookie banner
- Our Your Privacy Choices page
- A recognized Global Privacy Control signal
- The privacy settings provided by the applicable advertising service
- A request submitted to PES
Opting out of targeted advertising does not necessarily stop all advertising. Customers may continue seeing advertisements that are not based on cross-site activity.
9. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
Where required by applicable law and supported through Shopify’s Customer Privacy tools, we recognize a valid Global Privacy Control, or GPC, signal as a request to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising for the browser or device sending the signal.
Because there is no single universally accepted standard for other “Do Not Track” browser signals, the Site may not respond to signals other than GPC unless required by law.
10. How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients when reasonably necessary:
Ecommerce and technology providers
Including Shopify, hosting, account, security, search, technical-support, and storefront providers.
Payment providers
To authorize, process, settle, refund, and protect transactions.
Shipping and fulfillment providers

When required to comply with applicable law, a subpoena, court order, lawful request, investigation, or legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and property.
Business transactions
Personal information may be disclosed as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, asset sale, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not authorize service providers to use personal information for unrelated purposes when they process it solely on our behalf.
Some providers, including Shopify consumer services, payment providers, social-media companies, and advertising providers, may independently determine how they process certain information.
11. Marketing Communications
If you subscribe to marketing, we may use your contact information to send:
- Product announcements
- Restock notices
- Promotional offers
- Giveaways
- Store news
- Other PES marketing
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link included in the message.
If SMS marketing is offered, you can opt out by following the instructions in the message, such as replying STOP.
Opting out of marketing does not prevent necessary transactional or service messages concerning orders, accounts, payments, deliveries, recalls, product safety, returns, or customer-service requests.
12. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.
Retention periods may depend on:
- The duration of the customer relationship
- Account status
- Order fulfillment
- Return, refund, warranty, or dispute periods
- Fraud-prevention requirements
- Product-safety and recall needs
- Tax, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations
- Legal claims
- Applicable statutes of limitation
- Legal and regulatory requirements
- Backup and disaster-recovery schedules
When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, deidentify, or anonymize it, subject to legal and technical limitations.
A deletion request may not result in immediate deletion of information that we must retain for taxes, fraud prevention, accounting, safety, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or another permitted purpose.
13. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information.
These measures may include access controls, secure Shopify-hosted services, payment-provider security, account controls, staff procedures, and fraud-prevention tools.
No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Customers should protect their account access and notify us if they suspect unauthorized activity.
If a legally reportable data breach occurs, we will provide notifications as required by applicable law.
14. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and our detailing chemicals and related products are not intended for purchase or use by children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has submitted personal information to us, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 for targeted advertising without any authorization required by applicable law.

Describe the right you wish to exercise and provide enough information for us to identify the relevant customer records.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will only request information reasonably necessary for verification.
If an authorized agent submits a request, we may require proof of authorization and may verify the customer’s identity directly where permitted.
We will respond within the period required by applicable law. If we deny a request, we will provide an explanation and available appeal instructions when required.
16. U.S. State Privacy Disclosures
Residents of states with applicable comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights concerning access, correction, deletion, portability, targeted advertising, sale, sharing, profiling, and sensitive information.
PES does not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about customers.
If our disclosures to analytics or advertising providers are legally considered sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, eligible customers may opt out through Your Privacy Choices or a recognized GPC signal.
We will not unlawfully discriminate against a customer for exercising an applicable privacy right.
17. European, UK, and International Rights
If the laws of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Canada, or another jurisdiction apply, you may have additional rights, including:
- Access
- Correction
- Deletion
- Restriction
- Objection
- Portability
- Withdrawal of consent
- A complaint to the applicable data-protection authority
Personal information may be processed in the United States, Canada, and other countries where Shopify and our service providers operate.
When required, transfers are made using recognized legal safeguards, contractual protections, adequacy decisions, or another lawful transfer mechanism.
If you withdraw consent, the withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
18. Third-Party Websites
